Deprecate tool to build ABCL from another lisp · 81a7e4b5
The results of the Lisp based build system present in
<file:tools/build-from-lisp.bash> had long diverged from the results
of the canonical build description in <file:build.xml>. The
reimplementation of ABCL-BUILD as a contrib based upon UIOP is
currently incomplete for non-ABCL CL implementations, most notably
missing the ability to download the necessary non-Lisp tools from the
      network.

The "old" lisp based build code remains in
<file:contrib/abcl-build/build/deprecated.lisp> for those who need to
hack it back to a working state.

Update the README to reflect the deprecation.

Re-write the ABCL ASDF description using secondary systems · 0088b052
Future versions of ASDF will start complaining when multiple DEFSYSTEM
forms occupy a given file unit, but the systems named therein don't
      use the "PRIMARY[/SECONDARY..]" naming conventions.

      (asdf:test-system :abcl/test/ansi/compiled)
Run the compiled version of the ANSI tests in <file:../ansi-test/>.

      (asdf:test-system :abcl/test/ansi/interpreted)
Run the interpreted version of the ANSI tests in <file:../ansi-test/>.

Fix #183: move threads-jss.lisp out of system source. · 188342ee
'threads-jss.lisp' provides a rudimentary implementation of a server
framework using the java.util.concurrent abstractions. Ripped out of
another project, the code uses the JSS syntax for brevity making it
more or less impossible to actually compile as system source as it
depends on the JSS contrib. We move it to the tools directory until
we can rewrite the use of primitives to use the lower-level Java FFI.

      Full build results from x64-pc-solaris-5.11.oi148. · d7e31b56
Build metrics output for every revision from abcl-0.13 onwards.

Does not currently parse with build-metrics.lisp as there are abnormal
build results--at least one from a build.xml that was killed from an
endless loop--contained in the raw output file.

x64-pc-solaris-5.11.oi148 means the ABCL build host was a x86_x64
64bit processor running OpenSolaris as packaged by OpenIndiana from
build 148, which was released in at the end of 2010. The oi148
instance is running on commercial multicore Intel chips with grownup
      I/O and plenty of RAM.
