Random tests are random
Many tests use RANDOM
in some form to run tests. While this is useful to catch things, it makes it hard to have consistent results since the test may sporadically fail. In addition, it makes debugging the failed test hard since it randomly passes and fails depending on the seed used.
It would be useful to use at least a fixed random state at the beginning of the test so that the test run is consistent.
