Windows doc update ideas
This isn't an emergency, but I was setting up windows to validate some cross-platform config I was doing and ran into some confusion with where ASDF was searching for systems on Windows. I tried to fork this and update the docs, but it won't let me. I am just going to paste my thoughts here.
index.page:129-130 replace with something like:
After downloading the installer and validating the SHA512 sum, create an
environment variable called XDG_CONFIG_DIRS
and point it to where
asdf searches for
systems.
For example, set XDG_CONFIG_DIRS to %APPDATA% with:
[System.Environment]::SetEnvironmentVariable('XDG_CONFIG_DIRS', $Env:LOCALAPPDATA, [System.EnvironmentVariableTarget]::User)
Then in your XDG_CONFIG_DIRS directory, create the default common-lisp source-registry directory:
mkdir $Env:XDG_CONFIG_DIRS/common-lisp/source-registry.conf.d
Now continue with the instructions below.
index.page:165-167 replace with something like:
~/.config/common-lisp/source-registry.conf.d/20-clpm-client.conf
(or
%LOCALAPPDATA%\common-lisp\source-registry.conf.d\20-clpm-client.conf
on Windows). If you've modified your source registry a lot, you probably
know what to do with the output
install.page:69-70 gets the sane treatment as index.page:129-130
