(make-pathname :name ".") prints warning and returns #p(:name ".")
Describe the bug
(make-pathname :name ".")
prints a warning and returns the object
#P(:name ".")
. Similar thing happens with "..".
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
(make-pathname :name ".")
- See the warning and the result of
#P(:name ".")
Expected behavior
There's really no reason why this produces an error. I think originally cmucl didn't distinguish between "." and "./". The former could be a file with name "." and no extension, and "./" is obviously the relative directory "." with no name or type.
We should make this so.
